1.1 STANDARD PAYMENT: A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of £500 is required to secure your agreed training dates. The remainder of your course balance is also NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid in full 3 weeks before your course begins.
1.2 PAYMENT PLAN OPTION: A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of £1,000 is required with the remainder of course fees payable via agreed instalments. All instalments must be paid in full before course completion. Contact academy811@thepawshed.dog for payment plan details.
1.3 All payments are to be made via bank transfer. Bank details will be provided on receipt of your booking.
1.4 By submitting any payment, you acknowledge that all fees are final and non-recoverable.
2. COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATION - NO REFUND POLICY
2.1 If a compliance investigation is initiated by any regulatory body at any time during your course enrollment or after payment has been made, ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
2.2 Academy 811 will not offer refunds, alternative courses, or compensation in the event of a compliance investigation or enforcement action.
2.3 You acknowledge and accept this risk by paying any course fees.
3. NON-REFUNDABLE POLICY - NO EXCEPTIONS
3.1 ALL FEES ARE COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE under any and all circumstances, including but not limited to:
Personal circumstances or change of mind
Illness, injury, or medical conditions
Work or family emergencies
Inability to attend for any reason
Course cancellation by Academy 811
Business closure or cessation of trading
Compliance investigation or regulatory intervention
Non-completion of course for any reason
Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.)
3.2 No exceptions will be made. No refunds will be issued in any circumstance whatsoever. Your payment constitutes full acceptance of this policy.
4. BUSINESS CLOSURE AND REGULATORY INTERVENTION
4.1 Academy 811 reserves the right to suspend operations, cancel courses, or cease trading at any time without advance notice.
4.2 In the event of business closure, regulatory intervention, or forced cessation of operations, NO REFUNDS will be issued and no alternative courses or compensation will be offered.
4.3 You accept all risks associated with potential business disruption or closure.
5. COURSE STRUCTURE AND HOURS
5.1 Training hours are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, with a lunch break provided each day.
5.2 We recommend you wear casual, comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
5.3 Academy 811 accepts no liability for loss or damage to clothing or personal possessions.
6. HEALTH AND SAFETY
6.1 You will be given a comprehensive health and safety briefing on your first day.
6.2 It is your responsibility to inform Academy 811 of any disabilities, medical conditions, allergies, or notable attributes before attending your course.
6.3 Failure to disclose relevant health or safety information exempts Academy 811 from all liability.
6.4 You must follow all tutor instructions at all times.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND GDPR COMPLIANCE
7.1 You agree that your training may involve being photographed or videoed for qualification assessment and stored for a minimum of 3 years.
7.2 If you do not wish Academy 811 to publish updates on social media, you must inform your tutor in writing before your course begins.
7.3 You may only photograph your own work for portfolio purposes.
8. DOG MODELS
8.1 All dog models are booked in advance. Should a model fail to arrive, we will endeavour to replace it.
8.2 Your own dog may be used as a grooming model, subject to prior arrangement with your tutor.
9. QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATION
9.1 For courses, the qualification is pass or fail.
9.2 You must complete the correct number of learning hours and demonstrate competency in assessments.
9.3 Feedback and certificates may take several weeks to receive.
10. TRAINER AVAILABILITY
11.3 No refund will be issued for cancelled course days. You will be required to attend the rescheduled date or forfeit that training day.
11.2 In such circumstances, you will be offered an alternative course date within your 12-month enrollment period at no additional cost.
11.1 Academy 811 may cancel or reschedule individual course days due to extreme weather conditions (extreme heat or cold) where it is unsafe to continue training or where a significant number of dog grooming customer appointments have been cancelled.
11. EXTREME WEATHER - COURSE CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING
10.1 Academy 811 operates in conjunction with The Paw Shed. If a trainer is unavailable, we will attempt to accommodate but make no guarantees.
10.2 In circumstances where training cannot be completed, no refund will be issued.
12. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
11.1 By attending Academy 811, you acknowledge and accept that there is an element of risk associated with dogs, the training environment, and grooming tasks.
11.2 YOU ATTEND THIS COURSE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Academy 811 accepts NO LIABILITY for injury, loss, damage, or any other claim.
11.3 You have no right of recovery against Academy 811 for any reason whatsoever.
13. SITE CONDUCT
12.1 The entire Academy 811 site (The Paw Shed) is a non-smoking area.
12.2 Academy 811 uses CCTV cameras for internal security only.
12.3 Academy 811 operates an Equality and Diversity Policy.
